In the winter of '98, we got a humoungous ice storm. After 3 days
of exactly 32 degrre weather and light drizzle, the entire landscape
was encased in 1.5" of solid ice. It was a total disaster, with
tree branches crashing down every few seconds, the incredible
sounds of devestation resounding every few seconds. The National
Guard came in to seal off all access for the public to the town
and assist the citizens. Tom, Kathy and I volunteered to help
in various ways. |
